Customers

See every shopper who has used the wishlist — logged-in customers and guests — and drill into exactly what they've saved.

Overview

The Customers pages give you a per-shopper view of wishlist activity: how many lists they have, how many items are saved, and whether those items are currently in stock. This includes both logged-in customers and anonymous guests who haven't created an account.

Benefits

  • Understand individual customer interest, not just aggregate product popularity
  • Spot high-value shoppers with large or high-intent wishlists
  • See live stock status for a specific customer's saved items, useful for outreach or personalized follow-up

Where to Find It

How to Use

  1. Open the app and go to Customers.
  2. Browse the list, or use the search box to find a shopper by name, email, or guest identifier.
  3. Use the date-range filter to narrow by last activity date.
  4. Use the sort options to filter by Logged in / Guest, and order by most or least recently active.
  5. Click a shopper's row to open their detail page.
  6. On the detail page, review their stats, switch between wishlists (if they have more than one), and search or filter their saved items by stock availability.

Best Practices

  • Use the date-range filter to spot newly active shoppers, useful for timing follow-up marketing.
  • Check a high-value customer's wishlist before a sale or restock — it can guide what to feature to them directly.
  • Cross-reference frequent guest visitors with your Guest Wishlist settings — if you see many guest entries, consider whether encouraging account creation could help retention.

Notes

  • Guest shoppers are identified by a partial anonymous identifier since they have no name or email on file.
  • Product pricing and availability on the customer detail page reflect your live catalog, not the price at the time the item was saved.
  • Logged-in customer names/emails are refreshed from Shopify periodically, so very recent profile changes may take a short time to appear here.

Troubleshooting

A customer I know uses the wishlist isn't showing up. Confirm they've actually saved at least one item — customers who only browse without saving anything won't appear here.

A logged-in customer's name is missing or shows as "Guest." This means the app recorded them under a guest identity before they logged in on that device. Once merged, their activity should combine — see Guest Wishlist for how merging works.
