Email Notifications
The transactional emails BRIX: Wishlist Plus sends automatically — and who they go to.
Overview
The app sends two automatic emails, both to you as the merchant (your store's account email) — not to your customers. These are transactional, install/uninstall-related emails, not marketing or customer-facing notifications.
Benefits
- Confirms your installation was successful and guides you through setup
- Gives you a quick way to reinstall or share feedback if you ever remove the app
Where to Find It
These emails are sent automatically — there is no settings screen to configure them. They arrive at your store's account email address.
How to Use
No action is needed to receive these emails. They are triggered automatically by installing or uninstalling the app.
Available Settings
There are no configurable settings for these emails. For reference, here's what's sent:
| Sent When | Sent To | Contains | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Welcome email | Immediately after you install (or reinstall) the app | Your store's account email | A confirmation of installation, a link to your app Dashboard, and a 3-step setup guide (open theme editor → add the Wishlist app embed → save and publish) |
| Uninstall email | Immediately after you remove the app | Your store's account email | A "sorry to see you go" message, a link to reinstall from the Shopify App Store, and a note that your wishlist settings are retained for a period in case you reinstall |
Both emails include a support footer with an email address and a WhatsApp link to reach app support directly.
Best Practices
- Make sure your store's account email is one you actively monitor, so you receive these (and any future) notifications from the app.
- Keep the welcome email handy after installing — it links directly to the setup steps covered in Quick Start.
Notes
- These emails go to the merchant, not to shoppers. The app does not currently send any customer-facing emails (for example, there is no back-in-stock or price-drop email alert feature live yet, even though it may be referenced as a planned capability — see Plans & Pricing).
- If you don't receive an expected email, check your spam folder, and confirm your store's account email is correctly set in Shopify.
- Email delivery failures are handled silently on the app's side and won't block or interfere with installing or uninstalling the app.
Troubleshooting
I installed the app but never got a welcome email. Check your spam/junk folder. Confirm your store's account email is correct under your Shopify account settings.
I want my customers to get wishlist-related emails (like back-in-stock alerts). This isn't available yet. It's a planned feature — see Plans & Pricing for the current feature set.
