Quick Start

A short checklist to get BRIX: Wishlist Plus fully working on your store.

Overview

This guide walks you through the same steps shown in the app's own "Set up your Wishlist App" guide on the Dashboard, plus a few extra recommendations so your wishlist looks and behaves exactly how you want from day one.

Benefits

  • Get the wishlist live on your store in minutes
  • Avoid the most common setup mistakes (embed not enabled, buttons not customized)
  • Understand what's already turned on by default versus what you need to enable yourself

Where to Find It

Apps ↓ BRIX: Wishlist Plus ↓ Home (Dashboard)

How to Use

  1. Enable the theme app embed. See Installation if you haven't done this yet. Nothing else in this checklist matters until this is done.
  2. Review what's already on by default. Out of the box, the following are enabled: the product grid wishlist button, the product page wishlist button, the wishlist header icon, notifications, and guest wishlist. The floating wishlist button, multiple wishlists, and "add wishlist by variant" are off by default.
  3. Open Settings from the app navigation and review each feature row. Use the Buttons, Widgets, Pages, and Features tabs to browse everything available.
  4. Customize your buttons. Click Customize on the product grid button and product page button rows to match colors, icon, and placement to your store's design. See Customization Overview.
  5. Choose how the wishlist itself opens. Decide between a popup, a slide-out drawer, or a dedicated page under Wishlist Page settings.
  6. Turn on optional features you want. Common choices: the floating wishlist button for easy access on every page, or multiple wishlists if your customers shop for different occasions (gifts, personal, wedding registry, etc.).
  7. Translate customer-facing text if your store sells in more than one language. See Storefront Translations.
  8. Check the Analytics dashboard after a few days of traffic to see wishlist activity and revenue. See Analytics Overview.

Tip Every settings screen has a live preview with a Desktop / Tablet / Mobile toggle. Use it to check how your changes look before saving.

Available Settings

This page has no settings of its own — it is a guided checklist. See the linked feature pages for exact settings and defaults.

Best Practices

  • Customize your button colors and icon before announcing the wishlist to customers, so first impressions match your brand.
  • Keep Guest wishlist enabled unless you have a specific reason to require login — most shoppers browse before creating an account.
  • Revisit Settings after installing a new theme, since some themes have different layouts that may benefit from different button placement.

Notes

  • All settings changes require clicking Save in the save bar at the top of each screen. Nothing is saved automatically as you type or toggle.
  • If you try to open a Customize screen while you have unsaved changes elsewhere, the app will ask you to save or discard those changes first.

Troubleshooting

I don't see my changes on the storefront after saving. Give it a minute and do a hard refresh (clear cache) of your storefront page. If it still doesn't appear, confirm the relevant feature toggle is turned on in Settings.

The setup guide on my Dashboard still shows steps as incomplete. The "App embed activated" step reflects live theme state — it can take a moment to update after you save your theme. The "Customize design and functionality" step is marked complete once you've opened the Settings customization screens.
