Multiple Wishlists
Lets logged-in customers create and organize several separate wishlists — for gifts, occasions, or any grouping they choose.
Overview
By default, every customer has one wishlist called "My Wishlist." When Multiple wishlists is turned on, customers can create additional named lists, switch between them, rename or delete them, and move items from one list to another.
Benefits
- Helps customers organize saves by purpose (e.g. "Birthday gifts," "Home office," "Wedding registry")
- Encourages customers to save more, since items don't all pile into a single undifferentiated list
- Increases the chance customers return to check specific lists, driving repeat visits

Best Practices
- Use Grid cards if you expect customers to create many lists — it's easier to scan visually. Use Tabs if most customers will stick to 2–3 lists.
- Keep the default wishlist name generic ("My Wishlist" or "Favorites") since it's what every customer starts with before renaming.
- Customize the login prompt copy to reinforce why creating an account is worth it (e.g. mention that guest items carry over automatically).
Notes
- Creating additional named wishlists requires the customer to be logged in — this is separate from the general Guest wishlist toggle, which controls whether guests get any wishlist at all. Guests always get a single default wishlist if guest wishlist is enabled, but cannot create extra named lists until they log in.
- A customer can never delete their only remaining wishlist — only rename it. Deleting the active default list automatically promotes another list to be the new default.
- Wishlist and item names must be unique per customer; the app will show an error if a name is already in use.
- There are soft limits of roughly 25 wishlists and 200 items per wishlist per customer intended to keep performance smooth. These aren't hard blocks for typical use, but very large numbers of lists or items aren't a supported use case.
- If you turn this feature off after customers have created multiple lists, their items aren't lost — all items from every list are simply shown together in a single combined view.
Troubleshooting
A customer can't create a new wishlist. They need to be logged in. If they are logged in and still can't, check that the name isn't already in use.
A customer can't delete a wishlist. Customers can't delete their last remaining wishlist — they can only rename it.
Renamed or created lists don't show up right away. Ask the customer to refresh the page.
