Quick Start

Create your first campaign and get it live on your store.

Overview

This guide follows the same guided checklist shown on the app's own Home dashboard when you first install, with a bit more detail at each step.

Benefits

  • Get your first promotion live in a few minutes
  • Avoid the most common setup miss (creating a campaign but forgetting to add its storefront block)
  • Understand what's optional (like checkout extensions) versus what's required

Where to Find It

Apps → BRIX: BOGO, Upsell & Discount → Home

How to Use

The app's setup checklist has four steps:

  1. Create a Promotion or Progress Bar. From Home, choose Create Product Promotion to set up a BXGY, Buy More Get More, Volume Discount, Free Sample, or Fixed Bundle offer, or Create Progress Bar for a milestone-based rewards bar. See Product Promotions Overview or Cart Progress Bar to decide which fits your goal.
  2. Add the widget to your theme. After saving your campaign, use the Add widget to theme button (or the Home dashboard's Add App Blocks shortcut) to jump straight into your theme editor with the right block or embed highlighted. Add it, then click Save in the theme editor.
  3. Add a Checkout Extension (optional, Shopify Plus only). If you're on Shopify Plus and want the offer to also appear during checkout, follow the link into Shopify's checkout editor. This step is optional and doesn't block the rest of your setup - see Checkout Extensions.
  4. You're set up. Once your first promotion or progress bar is live, the checklist marks itself complete.

Tip Every Product Promotion and Progress Bar has a live preview while you build it, so you can check how it will look before saving.

Available Settings

This page has no settings of its own - it's a guided checklist. See the linked feature pages for exact settings.

Best Practices

  • Start with one promotion type you're confident about (BXGY or Volume Discount are the most common starting points) before layering on more.
  • Add the storefront block immediately after creating a campaign, rather than batching it for later - it's easy to forget.
  • Check your storefront on both desktop and mobile after your first setup, since promotion widgets are designed to adapt to both.

Notes

  • Creating a campaign and adding its theme block are two separate actions - saving a campaign in the app does not automatically add anything to your theme.
  • The checkout extension step is genuinely optional; most merchants can run a complete, working promotion using only the storefront widgets.

Troubleshooting

I created a campaign but nothing shows on my store. You still need to add the matching block to your theme - see step 2 above and Storefront Setup.

The setup checklist on Home still shows steps as incomplete. The checklist updates once you've actually saved a campaign and added its block in the theme editor - refresh the Home page after completing a step if it hasn't updated yet.
